Summer 2024 Rehearsals
Tuesdays and Thursdays 6pm-9pm
June 20th, 25th, 27th
July 2nd, 9th, 11th
Each evening rehearsal will consist of music rehearsals, marching rehearsal, physical fitness and team building activities. Make sure to bring water and wear clothing that is comfortable for working out in warm temperatures. Summer rehearsal are voluntary -- If you are in town and available, you should be at rehearsal.
FOURTH OF JULY 2024
Thursday, July 4th
Bonita HS Band Room / Downtown La Verne
2.5 mile parade through downtown La Verne. Student will wear shorts, running shoes; a shirt will be provided by the La Verne Band Booster Association. Call time will be 8:30am and the parade starts at 10am. Students will be done a little after 11am. Students should only participate if they have attended the summer rehearsals.

PARENT MEETING

Informational meeting to discuss schedule, expectations, spirit packs, parent volunteers and answer parent questions.
BAND CAMP
August 5th - 9th AND 12th-16th
8:am-12noon AND 5pm-9pm each day
It will be hot and sunny, please dress appropriately and bring sunscreen. Hats and visors are recommended. Each day of camp will contain music rehearsal, physical fitness and marching rehearsal. Amble breaks will be taken. Bring your own LARGE ice water thermos/water bottles. Band Camp is mandatory, please inform Mr. Bird immediately of any conflicts.
PARENT PERFORMANCE, POT LUCK AND SKIT NIGHT
Friday, August 16th 6:00pm
Skit Night is an opportunity for the band to show the parents what they have learned during band camp. There will be a performance at the Stadium followed by Pot Luck on campus and an evening student-performed skits and games in the Student Union.
FALL MARCHING REHEARSALS
Every Monday and Thursday 5:45pm to 9pm Bonita Stadium
Starting August 20st and ending November 21st
*No Rehearsal on Labor Day, Monday September 4th
The final Marching rehearsal of the season will be the Marching Band Showcase, a fully uniformed performance for parents and recognition of our seniors.
Color Guard will have regular rehearsal each school day from 7:30am thru 1st period. Wind will rehearse their music during either 1st period. Percussion will rehearse their music during 2nd period. Students will receive PE credits for their participation in the Marching Band program.
