Incoming Freshman Parents;
Welcome to the program. We are very glad you are here! This is a brief introduction for all new parents with students participating in the Marching Bearcats next season. Here are a few things to know:
- Email is our primary form of communication. If you have not already done so, please take a moment to sign up for our newsletter.
- Visit our website often. You can locate our up to date calendar of events as well as itinerary information here. It is very important that you check back often.
- Get Involved: We ask that each student’s parents volunteer at least 60 hours throughout the year. This organization is dependent upon you, the parent, to make this program a success. We love new parents, and you’ll find a lot of new friends while you totally enjoy the experience!
- Booster & Tour Shirts will be available for order around the same time as band camp. Please keep your eye out for this announcement because we can only make these available once per year.
- The Instrumental Music program at Bonita costs money to successfully produce. With all the budget cuts in Sacramento, all school programs from sports to music are funded by booster programs. Our band program is financed through the LVBBA. Each year we ask for a “Fair Share Donation”, which only covers a portion of the yearly budget. Throughout the year we also have many fundraising activities to also help out. Each individual group will have a target budget goal to reach. This will be discussed in more detail.
