Dear BHS Bearcats and LVBBA Members,
Welcome to the La Verne Band Booster Association website, home of the Bonita High School Marching Bearcats, Symphonic Band, Jazz Ensemble, Drumline and Color Guard. As director of these fine ensembles, I would like to thank the La Verne Band Boosters Association for their continued support of the arts in the La Verne area. Your financial contributions and personal volunteering have helped develop an award winning and critically acclaimed high school music program.
The 2011-2012 school year promises to be another exciting one starting with our Fall Field Show: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. We are happy to welcome our new drumline instructor Ryan Almeida to the staff at Bonita. We also have preparations to make for our 2nd Annual Sound in Motion Field Show Competition adjudicated by the Southern California Judge’s Association on October 15th. As we complete the field season we will be hard at work preparing for Winter Drumline, Winter Guard and the Evening of Jazz Fundraiser at the Fox Theater in Pomona. The year will then be topped off with our trip to Hawaii during Spring Break.
As you can see, we have a lot of great things planned for the year and lot of hard work ahead of us. With dedication and determination we will accomplish all of our goals for another great school year. Thanks again for your support of the program.
